"DEEP BLUE" European Premiere - Japan - drama 27 min written & directed by Kazuhito Nakae -- director & actor attending - crew: cinematographer Tomohito Tanaka original music Kazuyoshi Tonami, lead actors: Yukiko Nihei (stage & real name), Haruki Nihei (stage & real name), Tatsuhiro Ito (Syunichi Nihe), Sanshirou Rai (Iori Nihei) Yumiko Kojima (Kazuko Hihe), Daisuke Masuyama (stage & real name).

Yukiko Nihei, Haruki Nihei, Tatsuhiro Ito, Sanshirou Rai, Yumiko Kojima, Daisuke Masuyama. Synopsis: Twenty-year old Yukiko returns to her hometown with her 3-year old son, for the first time in a decade, to attend the memorial service of her grandmother. On her return she finds that her father and brother, their hands stained blue from the thread dying business they run, are ignoring her. Half fiction - half documentary 'Deep Blue' was filmed with amateur actors who relived their real-life experiences.

 

"GRENOUILLE D' HIVER" European Premiere - France - drama 18 min written & directed by Slony Sow produced by Jean Maurice Belayche -starring Gérard Depardieu - director & cast attending. Cast & crew: Gérard Depardieu as Benjamin, Miko (Eriko Taketa), Louise (Sabine Lendel), Original Music-Budapest Symphony Orchestra-Peter Pejtsik, Cinematographer/DP Mathias Walter.                                 

Special Note: Film was shot at Gérard Depardieu's vineyard and castle where he had never visited since the death of his son. Story line: Benjamin the winemaker does not want to go on living after his wife dies in his arms following a long illness, but when young Japanese woman comes to sample his wine, she gives him hope and helps him to mourn the death of his wife.

"KONO KISHI NO KOTO" European Premiere- Japan  - drama 30 min written & directed by Bunji Sotoyama - director attending -  cinematographer Shogo Uneo, music Asuka Matsumoto, cast - lead actress Natsue Hyakumoto & lead actor Yoichi Toyama. Story line: A River between "this world" and "the other world" Conception of Buddhism.

Story line: A film about a transformational encounter between strangers who are forced to confront their prejudices.

"DISPLACEMENT" Monaco - France Premiere - US/Suisse drama 34 min written directed & produced by Jolanda Ellenberger - director attending. Story Line: Long forgotten spirits give an estranged couple a chance to discover what appeared to be lost forever.

"GUS" Animation - European Premiere - Australia - 8 min short animation comedy written, directed & animated by Andrew Martin -music by Lisa Cheney & Liam Flenady - director and crew members attending. Story line: A "cave boy with disruptive flatulence and his father live a cold life in the Alps, until the boy is send outside and changes life forever.

"SIMILAR" European Premiere - UK short documentary 3 min directed by Dr. Shamaela Munir, cinematographer Peter Ralley, cast Ali Munir - director & crew and cast attending. Story line: film about experience of people with severe learning difficulties.

"THE WILL TO WIN" World Premiere - US / UK  short documentary 17 min directed by Paul Von Petersen & written & produced cinematography by Tamara Sumner Petersen - director & producer attending. Story line: A heart warming behind the scenes look, at what it takes to make the British Equestrian. With Special Thanks to: The British Equestrian Federation and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.

"A SPRINGTIME MELODY" Monaco Premiere - Sweden short drama 10 min written & directed by Aase Hoegfeldt - director attending, cinematographer/DP Andra Lasmanis, music by Karin Turesson - lead cast: actors: (Maria) Gunilla Johansson, (Maria as a Child) Olivia Johansson, (Doctor) Hedborg. Story line: A short philosophical reflection, based on a true story..

"BREAKING THE SILENCE" European Premiere - UK short documentary 7 min written, produced and directed by Alita Simpson - director - crew & cast attending, Story line: ‘Public Awareness film' - After the bruises and scars have gone the emotional scars remain, and the journey to recovery begins..

"BRUSHSROKES" World Premiere - US-Hungary short drama 11 min written, directed, cinematography & choreography by Zoi Florosz -  director attending - cast: Laura Lamberti, Debra Zalkind, William Thompson, Margaret Scure, Inna Yureneva - director and cast attending. Foundation Lenval Children's Hospital Psychiatric Unit who care for underprivileged children between 3

and 12 years of age. Rosana and Dean volunteered to help the children in whatever way they could, especially with Christmas just around the corner. They are now reaching out to you. Help put a smile on a child's face... its Christmas time!
