2018 ECA Conference announced

The Event Cinema Association’s annual conference is taking place on 7th February 2018 at Vue West End in Leicester Square, London.

A highlight of the Event Cinema industry calendar, the conference is now in its 5th year and brings together a diverse range of content producers, technical providers, distributors and exhibitors from all over the world. Usual attendance is around 300 from 20 territories. Tickets will be on sale via the ECA website shortly with an early bird deal available to those purchasing prior to 31st December.

Hosted by ECA board members Vue Entertainment in their recently refurbished central London site, the event promises to deliver expert advice and debate, news about upcoming events in the Event Cinema calendar, industry statistics and networking opportunities.

Johnny Carr, Alternative Content Manager at Vue Entertainment and ECA Board Member said “We were delighted to host the ECA Slate Day earlier this month and the event went down extremely well within the exhibition industry. Vue is committed to growing the Event Cinema market, so we are very happy to be involved in the ECA’s biggest event of the year.”

This year, the popular ECA Surgeries will return, offering an opportunity for delegates to gain vital industry expertise in a unique one-to-one setting with experienced mentors. Providing advice this year are PR, legal, technical, funding and web design experts. Bookings must be made in advance.

Melissa Cogavin, Managing Director of the ECA, said, “This conference has become one of the industry staples and brings together the whole supply chain in the life of an event cinema release, so it’s really important to the industry’s players that they attend.

She added, “Our sector is still only ten years old and it’s changing and growing all the time. It’s vital that the ECA provide essential resources for finding out what’s going on, debating issues of the day and meeting contemporaries, clients and suppliers face to face.”

The ECA Conference is supported by Vue and includes Cinema Next, Éclair and Cineplace with many excellent sponsorship opportunities available. Tickets will be available via the ECA website shortly here: www.eventcinemaassociation.org
