Dungog Festival Short Film Competition


CALLING ALL SHORTS FOR DUNGOG FESTIVAL'S SHORT FILM COMPETITION

The 3rd annual Dungog Festival - FOOD, FILM, FRESH AIR (plus throw in some music, wine, arts and markets!) - is coming up on 27-30 October 2016.  The Short Film Competition is calling for submissions from Australian and International films, with a prize pool of $30,000 cash available across a range of Awards.

Films must be 30 mins or under in length and can be any genre - fiction, drama, comedy, documentary, animation etc. and should have been completed after October 2014. Films made by Australians living or working overseas are encouraged to enter.

Prizes will be awarded for Best Australian Short Film (Fiction),  Best Australian Short Film (Documentary), Best International Short Film, Best Director, Best Craft Award, Best Youth Film - (Student and Non-Student), Best Local Film, Best Music Video and more!

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES INCLUDE:

  • Australian Short Films - Fiction
  • Australian Short Films - Documentary
  • International Short Films - Fiction and Documentary
  • Youth Films (made by Under 25 years filmmakers)  - Student and Non-Student
  • Music Video Films

The deadline is 19 August, with a final late deadline of 31st August, with a slightly higher entry fee.

The Dungog Festival is an regional arts and cultural festival, held at the end of OCtober in NSW's picturesque Hunter Valley, close to wineries, historic towns and the world-heritage listed rainforests of teh Barrington Tops. Dungog is less then 3 hours drive from Sydney. The festival runs over 3 days and nights and offers accommodation, glamping, restaurants, dinners, winemakers lunch, music, arts and crafts, markets, performances, activities for the young ones and much more!

DUNGOG FESTIVAL SHORT COMP - CALL FOR ENTRIES CLOSING 31st AUGUST 2016

The Dungog Festival 2016 will be held from 27-30 October, in the town of Dungog, just 2.5 hours away from Sydney in the picturesque Hunter Valley. The focus of the festival is on food, films and fresh air and will offer screenings, lunches and dinners with celebrity chefs, music, markets and activities for families.

The Dungog Festival Short Film Competition, with a focus on Australian films, is calling for submissions, with a prize pool of $30,000 cash available across a range of Awards, including a Youth Films Award with prizes for films by students and non-students, aged under 25 years of age.

There's still time to submit your short film, which must be must be 30 mins or under in length and can be any genre - fiction, drama, comedy, documentary, animation etc. and completed after October 2014.  

Submission categories, with a number of cash prizes to be awarded across the categories, include:

  • International, 
  • Australian Fiction
  • Australian Documentary
  • Youth (under 25 years) - Student and non-Student and
  • Music Video clips
