The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, a program of the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, has been approved for a $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Grant funds will support festival operating costs for the streaming platform, screening fees, and compensation for participating filmmakers of the virtual event.

Full Frame is among 1,073 projects across America totaling nearly $25 million that were selected during this first round of fiscal year 2021 funding in the Grants for Arts Projects funding category.

“The National Endowment for the Arts is proud to support the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival,” said NEA Acting Chairman Ann Eilers. “Full Frame is among the arts organizations across the country that have demonstrated creativity, excellence, and resilience during this very challenging year.”

“We are grateful for this significant support from the National Endowment for the Arts,” said Artistic Director Sadie Tillery. “The grant funding strengthens Full Frame’s efforts to serve filmmakers and highlight documentary films during this challenging moment.”

The 24th annual Full Frame Documentary Film Festival takes place June 2–6, 2021.
