"terroir" selected to Cortos en Corto in Mexico!"terroir" has been selected to the 7th annual Cortos en Corto Film Festival in Anahuac, Xalapa, Mexico for August 20-21, 2020. Written, helmed and produced by Dawn Westlake under her Ron de Cana Prods, Inc shingle, "terroir" is about the mother-child relationship and how it can sometimes cloud our perceptions of very capable female leaders in all sectors of society. The film was shot in Wheaton & Peru, IL, USA, Font Romeu, France and Vilafranca del Penedes, Spain by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. Carrizo also did the considerable editing and special effects. An original score was written for Westlake's lyrics and her voice was coached by GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs. "terroir" marks the professional acting debut of 4-yr-old actress Lilly Johnson who plays Westlake in 1969 in the film.
