"terroir" selected to AtlantiDoc in Uruguay!"terroir" has been selected to the 13th annual AtlantiDoc Film Festival in Montevideo, Uruguay for November 25-December 13, 2019. Written/helmed and produced by Dawn Westlake, under her Ron de Cana Prods, Inc. shingle, "terroir" is a feminist musical doc about how unfortunately sometimes the mother-child relationship clouds our perceptions of very capable female leaders in all sectors of society. "terroir" was shot on location in Wheaton & Peru, IL, USA, Font Romeu, France, and Vilafranca del Penedes, Catalunya, Spain by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. Pol also did the editing and visual effects. A score was written and Westlake's voice was coached by GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs. "terroir" marks the professional acting debut of 4-yr-old Lilly Johnson who plays Westlake in 1969 and her mother in approximately 1930.
