Dawn Westlake

"Pooling" won the Audience Award at the Xsection Festival, celebrating the cross-section of dance, science and film, at the Arts at the Armory complex in Somerville, Massachusetts, USA on June 30th, 2019. This is the first award for this hybrid film, and the 69th award for its director/producer, Dawn Westlake, under her Ron de Cana Prods, Inc. shingle.

"Pooling" features the breakdance and choreography of Marc "Markitus" Carrizo Vilarroig of the world-renowned Brodas Bros troupe. It was shot/edited by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. The animated open and close were done in Los Angeles by Dismas & GrissyG Lizarraga of GrisDismation. An original score was composed by Joan Armand Forero of Praxiz.
