FROM ON HIGH wins BEST SHORT FILM at Vilammare Film FestivalFROM ON HIGH has won BEST SHORT FILM at Vilammare Film Festival in Campania, Italy. Written and helmed by Dawn Westlake, FROM ON HIGH is about a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe. This is prize #8 for the film which has also won awards in the USA, Spain and 5 other awards in Italy, including Best Cinematography for DP/Editor Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona at Carpine d'Argento Film Fest in Visciano, and Best Soundtrack for GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs at Mediterranean Festival Corto in Diamante. The film was made on location in Barcelona, Collsuspina and La Sala de Sant Llogari, Spain in September 2017. It marks the professional acting debut of 11-year-olds Zoe Pinell Lopez and Esteve Serra Coll.
