FROM ON HIGH to play San Gio Film Festival in Italy and Moita Mostra in Portugal! FROM ON HIGH has been selected to the San Gio Film Festival in Verona, Italy for July 23rd and the Moita Mostra in Moita, Portugal for August 4th, 2018. Written and helmed by Dawn Westlake under her Ron de Cana Productions, Inc. banner, FROM ON HIGH tells the story of a Syrian refugee girl who finds a better life in Europe. It was shot on location in Barcelona, Collsuspina, and La Sala de Sant Llogari, Spain by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona. Pol recently won the BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY prize at Carpine d'Argento Film Festival in Visciano, Italy. The film has won 5 other awards in the USA, Spain and Italy. GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs, a 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee, composed the original score. FROM ON HIGH marks the professional acting debut of 11-year-olds Zoe Pinell Lopez and Esteve Serra Coll.
