Surf, Sand, and Cinema with Cinéma à la PlageWith the gorgeous weather in Cannes, it is difficult to pass up an opportunity to go to the beach. But with all of the Film Festival activities happening indoors, how is one supposed to find time to sit in the sand? From now until May 19th, the Film Festival offers Cinéma à la Plage, an outdoor movie experience free to the public. Each night of the festival will feature an already released film, from classics such as “Au Feu, les Pompiers!” by Milos Forman, to recent blockbusters such as Marvel’s “Black Panther”. Certain screenings will also feature a special guest. This event requires no ticket and chairs are provided to enjoy the screening. Each screening begins at 9:30 PM, though it is recommended to show up early to ensure a seat.
Wednesday, May 10th will feature the film “Black Panther”, with director Ryan Coogler as a special guest. Thursday, May 10th will feature “Le Spécialiste” by Sergio Corbucci. Friday, May 11th will feature “Le Grand Bleu” by Luc Besson
