FLYING HOME by Dominique Deruddere (Romance, Drama / Belgium, Germany / 2014)

Cast: Jamie Dornan, Charlotte De Bruyne, Jan Decleir

Synopsis: Colin (Jamie Dornan), an ambitious investment banker, will attempt to gain a Sheikh’s trust and business by convincing a Flemish pigeon fancier to sell his champion to him. Colin sets up a scheme but, when he meets the stubborn owner, and his beautiful granddaughter, he will learn that there’s more to life than big business.

Synopsis: Javier, a shy Spanish doctor, meets Angie, a beautiful Colombian Salsa dancer.  Angie is working with her talented young dancers to make an audition to be part of DELIRIO:  the most famous salsa show in the world.  Javier and Angie will live an impossible romance between two different cultures, full of obstacles and misunderstandings, immersed in the world of salsa dancers in the town where dancing is the goal, the dream and life.

Synopsis: Cheba has given birth to another man's son, while her husband was working abroad.  Now he is back and she needs to decide what to do with the baby. She has to confront her own desires and what is expected from her in the isolated village where they all live trapped, forgotten and sick with Tirisia, an illnes of the soul.

Synopsis: Neneta lives without responsibilities or plans, in a motor-home on the coast of Spain. When her partner 'Wolf' disappears without explanation, she goes back to her hometown. The only job offer she gets is to be a construction-worker.  With courage and sense of humor she overcomes the hard work, growing stronger and independent.  But 'Wolf' comes back and she must make a difficult decision…

Synopsis: Three eighty-year-old men embark in a hilarious road trip in order to fulfil the dying wish of a lifelong friend. In spite of the disapproval of their families and the limitations of their advanced age, they find themselves involved in a series of comical misadventures and meet a cast of colourful characters. Their journey alters their sense of self and their place in the world. Crutches, nursing homes or dead wives won't stop them. There is, indeed, life after 80!

Synopsis: Argentina 1987. It is a hot summer day and a long awaited storm is slowly approaching town. Lucia and her sister Elena are alone. Elena’s friends are fighting the heat at the local swimming pool where gossip is the major sport. Elena joins Ignacio, a doctor that twice her age. Lucia, meanwhile, meets Ana, a friend of his sister and together go to the outskirts. The two sisters live an afternoon of initiation. Lucia and Elena are left to their own desires. A desire that begins and ends in that stormy afternoon, and nothing will be the same for them.

NORDLAND by Ingo J. Biermann (LGBT, Romance / Germany, Norway and Switzerland / 2014) 

Cast: Odine Johne, Maren Hoff, Nora G. Svalheim  

Synopsis: Eleni is abruptly left alone by her girlfriend Kaia during a trip to Norway. In order to find her lost love, she embarks on an emotional journey far beyond the beautiful Arctic Circle. When Eleni meets another woman, she finally becomes attentive to her own perceptions and desires.

HANNA'S JOURNEY  by Julia von Heinz (Romantic Comedy / Germany, Israel / 2013) 

Cast: Karoline Schuch, Doron Amit, Lore Richter  

Synopsis: Hanna goes to Israel in order to push her career by working with disabled people. Itay, the israeli social worker picks on Hanna with Holocaust jokes and cynical comments on German history, whilst obviously flirting with her. She initially reacts with rejection, but after a while she becomes interested in her family's history, and also in Itay…

Synopsis: It's the hot summer of 1972. On the 9th floor of a tower block in a small town, the sixties finally kick in: a new resident, an artist moves in. Duch’s dad moves in with her. Soon everything will change for this 12 year old boy. Meanwhile he focuses on his passions: the manned missions to the moon and his beautiful, Valium addicted neighbor. Inevitably, their lives will collide and none will ever be the same.

Synopsis:Gregor's life is running as perfectly as he had planned, until his brother disappears. Gregor keeps his brother’s disappearance as a secret. First because he thinks too little of it, then because he starts thinking too much about it.

THE VERDICT by Jan Verheyen (Courtroom, Thriller / The Netherlands / 2013)

Synopsis: When his wife’s murderer is released due to a procedural error, Luc Segers will do everything in his power to stop it from happening. He is going to take justice into his own hands and will then compete with the constitutional state which let him down.

MARINA by Stijn Coninx (Feel-Good Drama, Romance / Belgium, Italy / 2013) 

Cast: Matteo Simoni, Evelien Bosmans, Luigi Lo Cascio  

Synopsis: Italy, 1948. Young Rocco is growing up in Calabria, until one day his father Salvatore decides to leave to Belgium, where he strives to earn a lot of money by working in coal mines. Very soon he sends for his family. Rocco becomes a migrant overnight, with all the consequences this entails. Rocco wants to be like other youngsters, become someone and have a purpose in life. Against his father’s wish and better judgment he seeks an escape through music and love. The amazing story is based on the childhood memories of the Italian-Belgian singer, Rocco Granata.

BLUE AND NOT SO PINK by Miguel Ferrari (LGBT, Feel-Good Drama / Venezuela, Spain / 2013)

Cast: Guillermo García , Ignacio Montes, Hilda Abrahamz  

Synopsis: Diego is a guy like any other one. He has a regular family and his friends don’t have anything special. But there is something that makes him different. He has a heterosexual son. One father, one son. Both of them will need to fix their differences. Everything depends on how you look at it.
