Hot from the trades - ANIMAL CRACKERSArclight Films has brought 'Animal Crackers' to Cannes and has garnered much acclaim and made major sales in key territories, such as U.K. and Canada (eOne), Latin America (Imagem), the Philippines (Captive Entertainment), the Middle East (ECS), Bulgaria (A Plus), and many others. The film, directed by Tony Bancroft and Scott Christan Sava, is about a family who must use a magical box of Animal Crackers to save a rundown circus from being taken over by their evil uncle, Horatio P. Huntington. The catch is, once anyone eats an animal cracker, they turn into that animal. 'Animal Crackers' includes big names like Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Danny DeVito, Ian McKellen, Sylvester Stallone and Raven-Symone, and is anticipated by all of Cannes.
