Festival de Cannes' spotlight on Brazil in this year's selection!

The 78th Festival de Cannes Official Selection has been announced! This year’s lineup features a global mix of fresh talent and acclaimed filmmakers — spanning In Competition, Un Certain Regard, Out of Competition, Midnight Screenings, Cannes Premières and Special Screenings.

We're especially excited as this year will shine a spotlight on Brazilian film, The Secret Agent (O Agente Secreto) by Kleber Mendonça Filho, selected In Competition. This recognition offers Brazil a unique opportunity to showcase its vibrant audiovisual industry at Cannes, and as our 2025 Country of Honour through the Marché du Film’s industry programs.
