The NFI supports and promotse films, series and games. Norway is experiencing a new dawn for documentary production and the quality of Norwegian docs has risen far beyond the local market. At Doc Corner we present four documentary works in progress by both new and established directors. ONCE AURORA (En gang Aurora) Directed by: Benjamin LANGELAND & Stian SERVIOSS Produced by: Thorvald NILSEN (Flimmer Film AS) Country of production: Norway Running time: 70’/52’ Completed in: January 2019 Aurora is a pop sensation from a small town in Norway. She was discovered at the age of 16, dropped out of school, and spent the next years touring the world. At the age of 20 she is at a breaking point. Is this really what she wants, and if not, does she have any other option but to continue? By following the ordinary lives of the three most common farm animals; pigs, cows and chickens we will discover they are not just something, but is in fact, someone! Samaher enters the fray, her camera her weapon, but her journey is not only a view to the outside, it is an intimate documentation of her own inner awakening that confronts the painful childhood traumas that shaped her.
