Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

Come to the Wild Side with “The Wild Immersion”, the World’s 1st Virtual Nature Reserve

The Virtual Reserve LTD and director Adrien Moisson have joined forces, with the support of Jane Goodall, to change how nature is portrayed in cinema. Using newly released virtual reality technology, Moisson’s cinematography transports his audience to the plains of the savannah, the depths of the tropical rainforest, and to the bottom of the sea. One moment, you are in the middle of a school of tropical fish, being buffeted by the waves, diving between aquatic plants. Within a blink of an eye, you are looking up at the underbelly of a giraffe, surrounded by tall grasses and bright sunshine. The perspectives shown through Moisson’s camerawork build a connection between viewers and the film’s myriad of subjects. The goal, as Moisson describes it, is to get rid of people’s fear of nature by giving them the opportunity to empathize with it.

“The Wild Immersion” is available for testing at the Plage Majestic. There are three productions to choose from: “The Wild Immersion” trailer (featuring Jane Goodall), the African savannah, and the Amazonian rainforest.
