Companies looking to recruit new talents can post job offers in the international environment of Cinando. Already 31 posts (and growing fast) since it opend a few days ago.
Cinando – the premier network website for the global film industry managed by Marché du Film/Festival de Cannes – has launched a new online service, Cinando Job Search, an innovative online tool referencing job offers in the industry.
This worldwide tool has been integrated to the Cinando website to address the international mobility of workers within the film industry and promote equal opportunities and meritocracy within the sector. The idea behind the project is to centralize offers in one place, which is in line with the first mission of Cinando: facilitating the access to information and the collaboration between industry members.
Companies looking to recruit new talent for their teams can now post job offers – at any entry-level from internships to permanent contracts within the range of company activities represented on Cinando (production, distribution, sales, film festival, technical…). Each offer is made available for 28 days at a time for free and can be controlled easily via the recruiter’s Cinando administration page. Each offer will include a contact that the applicants can refer too. Recruiters have the option to post offers anonymously.
The Cinando Job Search is also a platform where Cinando gives visibility to the SPEAK UP initiative – a movement led by the European film industry to take positive and practical actions to fight sexual harassment. This tool will raise awareness on the crucial relevance of the SPEAK UP message amongst applicants and recruiters.
Jérôme Paillard – Executive Director of the Marché du Film said: “The film industry is not attached to territories and borders. The Cinando Job Search aims to address this reality and facilitate the international mobility of film professionals, connecting the best talents with the best projects, regardless where they are based. Moreover, I´m proud that the Cinando Job Search can be used as a platform to promote the importance of the SPEAK UP movement. Sexual harassment is unacceptable in any area of life and we want to fight against it by raising awareness of the issue through this new platform”.
Cinando members will be able to access offers and apply to jobs. The Cinando Job Search is available completely free of charge. As each company subscription on Cinando is checked by the Cinando team, the job offers posted will target the most coherent and professional audience, so recruiters will only receive eligible applications.
