Every day the lounge will be open for people to compete on either Angry Birds as single player or Tap Game as a team of 2 . At the end of each day the person and team with the highest score will receive tickets to one of the following day’s red carpet premieres.

At the end of the festival the overall winner (single and team) with the highest score will win a HP SpectreXT

To enter: Head on over to the HP Lounge situated on the ground floor of The Majestic Hotel between 10 am – 1pm and 5pm – 7pm.

HEWLETT-PACKARD (HP), Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival 2012, is showcasing its large-scale, next generation ultra-high resolution (4098 x 1536) interactive multi-touch wall in the HP Lounge at Hôtel Majestic Barrierre from 16th to 27th May, demonstrating its strong collaboration with movie and gaming partners as well as major film studios and production companies. Visitors to the HP Lounge will be able immerse themselves into sheer innovation on the ultra-new, ultra large and fully immersive 335.3cm (132”) touch wall, HP’s VantagePoint, and enjoy  bespoke content from major film studio such as BanditoBrothers.  They will also be able to discover preview clips and images from Roberto Miller’s film “Madolora” (PureGrain Studios). The touch wall can also give life to a host of content from fashion to luxury goods and interactive games such as Angry Birds and Helios Gaming Suite. “The entertainment industry is all about creating emotion.  Large interactive display surfaces are incredibly important for the entertainment industry, where vivid, larger-than-life experiences are needed to draw movie goers into their creative minds and worlds. HP is a pioneer in immersive technologies such as VantagePoint that enhance the way people engage and enjoy film content,” said Jean-Pierre Le Calvez, HP. Powering the entertainment industryHP is also running a series of workshops demonstrating how its pioneering Workstations technology is powering the film industry.  HP technologies are at the heart of movie-making, revolutionizing the rapid turnaround of audio visual effects in productions such as Act of Valor, Kung Fu Panda and Puss in Boots. Sessions will include demonstrations from the award-winning visual effects (VFX) software company, The Foundry, and European developer SGO, experts in post-production and finishing solutions, discussing some of the latest trends in special effects, animation and 3D. Ultra experiences on HP \Ultrabooks™In addition to HP VantagePoint and Workstations, HP will also showcase its latest customer-inspired innovations launched at the HP Global Influencer Summit 2012 in Shanghai, China, earlier this month. Visitors to the HP Lounge will experience a range of exciting new ultra-thin, ultra-light ultrabooks that deliver a high-end experience when viewing film content. This includes the much anticipated HP SpectreXT, an ultra-mobile premium ultrabook that with extraordinary design and performance, as well as the latest notebooks, sleekbooks and workstations. Revolutionary filmmaking with powerful computers Le Calvez, said: “The explosion of content and its ubiquitous accessibility -- anytime, anywhere and on demand presents both opportunities and challenges for film makers.  HP technologies enable them to be ever more creative and innovative to satisfy consumer hunger - producing content on time, to budget and high standards, sometimes with reduced resources, is an inevitable challenge for film makers today. it is both a creative and business challenge and by working with the most powerful Workstations in the industry from HP, editing teams know that they can create the films customers will want to see and do this in the most effective way, closing the loop from creation to enjoyment, HP’s latest ultrabooks and notebooks enable consumers to see the final films with brilliant image and sound.”
