The second Kering and Festival de Cannes Women in Motion awards were presented to Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon at the annual Presidential Dinner in Cannes yesterday, May 18. Three promising young women were also awarded for their film-making gift.
American actors Geena Davis, Academy-Award winner, and Susan Sarandon, Academy-Award and BAFTA-award winner, picked up the second annual 'Women in Motion Award' at the Festival de Cannes.
The two stars of Thelma and Louise were given the award at the Presidential Dinner for their exceptional careers and commitment to both the film industry and the women's cause. Fittingly it's the 25th anniversary of the cult film which celebrates female independence. Clip of the Kering Women In Motion awards: Video courtesy of Kering Group --- Review by Lia Fietz
