Cannes 2021 a Love chemistry Story “Ali and Ava” from producer Tracy O’Riordan

UK Talent talk with Tracy O’Riordan care of We Are UK Film provides a clue on how to set the “Mo” for a modern and british love story.
Ali and Ava, a Director’s Fortnight film written and directed by BAFTA nominated Clio Barnard, teases the audience with a new genesis of deprived humanity story tale and film in the changing weathered landscapes of Bradford. We experience the community in a housing estate with all different tastes and infusions of love chemistry over the lunar month. More humour “ish” moments are brought to us as the details of an amalgamation of both Rich and Caring tests the ground for exploring the relationship mix in film making.
Here’s how I see the mix !

Nesta Sketching: Cannes Mothering Sunday with Eva Husson and Elizabeth Karlsen - one act of Creativity and Love!

Mothering Sunday has shown us there is life out there “au un act” and at Cannes. The production pitch perfect in the safety space of fiction.

Eva postures “I liked, but did she like me?” A Question mothers ask themselves no doubt articulating this in particular, and then for emotional response.

Mothering Sunday “takes me out of my head”; imagine the unicorn, a symbol to her for the creativity, love and extension of memory back to the 1920’s.

Emotions and Art are explored through the film narrative by Jane and by Josh with the director Husson enhancing mood and reaction by highlighting through the red green blue spectrum with colour chrome contemporary lighting. We look to the evident Lumiere Brothers Cinématographe and style to move the story take during intimate scenarios.

We are encouraged where it would seem a common thread that the film-makers at Cannes this year have been new mothers at point of production!

Mark Cousins The Story of Film and a comedy crazy cut on bits of paper at Cannes

At Cannes 2021 we MULL with director Mark Cousins over The Story of Film he sets in context with a classic title journey from “Love Me Tonight” to “Lover’s Rock”, both sure destinations for film enthusiasts to engage in after their spell of lockdown.

Mark asks us to jump from now to then with him and inside ourselves to experience his story of film and the fertility of film. We experience now through his story this new generation of film spanning from 2010 to 2020 and so develop a new film gene.

On bits of paper Mark cuts multi verse themes with the comedy of “Joker” and invites us in to plug the gaps he has cut in the film crazy world action as it unfolds in his edit.

We look forward to his next reprise on how we saw the future of film at this time!

Cannes Casting and Kat Mansoor on Cows! New Andrea Arnold take Nesta @ We Are UK Film 9th July

This is a big’un ! Unpredictable opening with two sets of massive opening eyes as “Cows“ brings Cannes casting to new pastures, far afield in England. A primarily green documentary shoot with animals raging on screen and the cinematographer Magda going about trying to capture animals and their instinct.

Award wining director Andrea Arnold and producer Kat Mansoor have taken a steady 8 years after the first pitch to land the film in classic Arnie style on The Red Carpet tonight here at Cannes!

We’re unsure whether the star of movie Luma will attend the ceremony but if you spot a cow with a white head and unusual features just moo ve out of the way
