CAMBOFEST is Cambodia's first international movie event since the end of the Khmer Rouge era, and is Cambodia's only independent film festival (now entering our 4th year edition)

Our goal is to help restore a viable cinema industry in Cambodia by showcasing the new independent work of international and Cambodian filmmakers.

Without many functional cinemas remaining in Cambodia, CamboFest strives to seek out and restore to a working order vintage Cambodian cinema houses as venues for our event

(see pix from our previous event at )

This year, CamboFest teams up with the Cambodia-based youth group, Youth Association for Human Resource Development (YAHRD), in order to train Cambodian youth to participate in many of the festival's operations - this helps ensure CamboFest's ongoing future sustainability.

We're still seeking financial and in-kind / AV / hardware sponsors for this year's event!

Take a look at our Sponsor Info Sheet [PDF] and become a Sponsor or Contributor of one of the most unique film festivals *anywhere in the world*!:

"We understand your need and appreciate your efforts in terms of Cambodian heritage preservation and capacity building for the young generation, which is part of UNESCO's strategy."

We're a little more than a third of the way to our fundraising goals for this season - please make a tax deductible contribution through our fundraising portal at CROWDRISE and help restore a living cinema to Cambodia:
