THE INTERNATIONAL ONLINE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL DOTFEST

We are happy and proud to present the first edition of the DotFest — INTERNATIONAL ONLINE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL which was created to present and reward the very best in international independent short filmmaking.

THE MISSION
The festival serves as a platform for both emerging and seasoned filmmakers around the world to showcase their films in effort to receive global recognition and significant cash awards. We'll help to connect the dots between talented filmmakers and the audience in a web-based environment.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
The best flicks will be selected from the astonishing variety of shorts: dramatic and droll fiction, picturesque and technically gifted animation, music videos to dance to and gaze at, formal and conceptual experimental works! That much in such a short time, in one place — the internet.

Any short film up to 10 minutes made after January 2007 which falls under any of the categories:
- Fiction,
- Animation,
- Music video and
- Experimental films.

AWARDS
The International Jury will choose Best Award in each category.
The winner in each category will receive a 2000€ cash prize.  The prize goes to the  filmmaker.
The Audience Award winner will be decided by the audience through online voting.
DotFest Awards will be announced in April 18th 2010.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES AND FEES
So till March 1st we are looking for any short films made after January 2007 with running time no more than 10 minutes that fall under any of the categories: Fiction, Animation, Music video and Experimental films. And keeping in mind that it's an online festival — the films should be submitted online .

SUBMIT YOUR SHORT FILM

First register the film at www.dotfest.net , and then upload it digitally via www.movielocker.com .
Don't be scared nor hesitate to upload your film to the competition as our partner   www.movielocker.com utilizes new technology that allows users to submit and view films online and will ensure effective copyright protection for all material. No one will steal it, many will watch!
