The first edition of BKK doc Nominations has received over 400 submissions globally- concentrated in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. From the official records, the ceremony features over 30 documentaries from 15 distinct categories. 
All the documentaries selected will be competing for the top place under the close eye of experienced and international juries who will be vetting them! So if you are looking for a reason to get out of your winter or lockdown quarters, travel to Goethe-Institut in Bangkok, Thailand, and follow your favorite doc candidate live! The occasion will take place in the last week to Christmas. 
 
Documentaries are really hysterical as well as healing as portrayed by Music Got me here documentary. This thrilling and entertainment portion is set to get your adrenaline rushing and unlock the lengthy lockdown entertainment doors on December 4th, 2020. 
The storyline revolves around a devastating sports accident that resulted in a particular family member's brain injury. All the family members, especially the parents, pull down their masks amid a looming pandemic and dedicate their lives to help their heir recover from what doctors almost termed as irreversible brain damage! Once again, this documentary proves that music has the power to wake up the dead and help "hospice" patients’ recover- as Tom Sweitzer plays the guitar, not realizing that he had initiated the healing process of their brother.  
Watch this captivating doc on Laemmle Virtual Cinema from December 4th and feel enlightened and empowered by this moving story as you struggle with your daily ups and downs. 
 
At the Award Ceremony of the 24th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) awards were handed to the winners of the four competition programmes of the festival and PÖFF’s sub-festivals Youth and Children’s Film Festival Just Film and International Short Film and Animation Film Festival PÖFF Shorts.
-   Bulgarian film „Fear“ wins the Official Selection – Competition as European cinema dominates the awards of the programme;
-   Chinese „Great Happiness“ wins First Feature Competition;
-   Estonian „The Last Ones“ is selected as the best Baltic film.
 
In the film industry, the best and experienced earn a prime place, and their careers are elevated to another level by their employers! That is what happened to Pierre-Yves Walder when the NIFF (Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival) board selected him as the General and Artistic Director. Walder is an experienced and talented Swiss cultural enthusiast majoring in audiovisuals. 
From domestic and international entertainment quest, Welder has developed robust roots that led him to tap into foreign film sectors. His far-reaching network has not only earned him a prime spot but also he will significantly benefit NIFF. NIFF might have the perfect candidate to help them explore the Swiss entertainment sector. 
Walder is a hard worker, and he is expected to use his exciting experience to program and divine the bright future of NIFF in Switzerland beginning the second half of 2021. Let's hope his endless passion will match the film industry's turbulent waves and help NIFF acquire new territories.
