BIAFF(Batumi International Art-house Film Festival) was established in 2006 and itis becoming one of the major international cultural events in Georgia. The founder and organizer of festival isBatumi Art House ARGANI. The festival is focusing on Art-house cinema. Itsmajor goal is to be an international event designed to enhance cultural exchange, understanding, andcollaboration between film makers, producers and film critics from variouscountries. During past years the honorary guestsof festival were - Krzystof Zanussi, Zbygnev Rybchinski, Jerzy Radziwilowicz, JerzySturr (Poland), Pawel Pawlikoski (UK), Jos Stelling (Nethelands), AbassKiarostami, Manijet Hekmat, RamtinLavafipour (Iran), Sidiqq Barmak (Afghanistan), Mikheil Kobakhidze(France/Georgia), Nino Kirtadze (France/Georgia) etc.
