Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment (FME) announces the addition of Michaela Johnson-Carroll to the ever-expanding Film Mode team in the role of Director, International Sales.
The company recently announced the addition of Lydia Ianni as VP, Acquisitions and Development, and Charlotte Mott’s promotion to Director, Worldwide Sales during the last edition of the American Film Market (AFM).
“We’ve welcomed Michaela with open arms into the Film Mode family. She has the experience, intelligence and reputation to be a valued addition to the company. I look forward to work alongside her,” Said Epstein.
Before joining Film Mode Entertainment, Johnson-Carroll was in charge of global sales at Gunpowder & Sky and was instrumental in marketing and representing scripted and non-scripted films such as SURVIVE starring Sophie Turner, SHERYL with Sheryl Crow, and IT TAKES THREE starring Jared Gilman and Aurora Perrineau. Prior to Gunpowder & Sky, she worked on the sales team at Voltage Pictures, where she sold across various territories and worked on high profile titles such as AVA starring Jessica Chastain, THE MARKSMAN with Liam Neeson, and the AFTER series starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford. She started her career at Blue Fox Entertainment, working as a coordinator for the marketing and sales departments.
In her role as director, international sales at Film Mode Entertainment, Johnson-Carroll will handle global sales, business affairs, and the representation of Screen Media’s catalogue, in addition to supporting the company’s efforts in acquisitions and marketing. She will handle Australia/New Zealand, UK, France, Benelux, Asia, Airlines, Turkey, and Israel. Johnson-Carroll will be working alongside Film Mode’s Charlotte Mott, who was recently promoted to Director, Worldwide Sales during AFM, on Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Scandinavia, Spain, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and South Africa.
In addition, Johnson-Carroll will work strategically with the entire FME team on North America and the Middle East.
“I am thrilled to be joining a team as reputable and successful as Film Mode Entertainment. I look forward to bringing my diverse sales experience to the business, in a time of such growth for the company and industry.” Said Johnson-Carroll.
Michaela Johnson-Carroll holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing with a minor in Media Management from California State University Northridge. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her boyfriend.
