From Annecy to Golden Dove: 4 Filmmakers from France at Berlinale TalentsBerlinale Talents is very proud to announce the selection of 250 filmmakers - 141 women and 109 men - from 77 countries for the 17th edition of Berlinale Talents. In our most recent press release you can find out more about some of the exciting talents, alumni that return to Berlinale Talents as experts such as Golden-Bear winner Adina Pintilie as well as our Talent profiles/projects.
We are very happy to let you know that 4 of the chosen filmmakers are working and living in France: Justin Pechberty, who co-produced the animated short Kötü Kiz (Wicked Girl), which won the Jury Price in Annecy; the Bulgarian-French producer Maria Stanisheva whose (often animated, hybrid) credits include the Golden Dove winner Father; Quentin Laurent, who produces a lot of creative documentaries such as Kinshasa Makambo and the Brazilian-French experimental filmmaker João Vieira Torres. Helene Sifre, who works and lives in the UK and produces films such as the award-winning Fishwitch, complements the list.
Together the 250 Talents will participate in an intense six-day programme featuring around 100 events with internationally renowned experts and acclaimed Berlinale guests holding workshops and talks, many of which are open to the public. Berlinale Talents takes place at the HAU Hebbel am Ufer, February 9-14, 2019. The complete Berlinale Talents programme will be online on January 29, 2019. 28.01.2019 | Berlin's blog Cat. : FILM
