Autumn Sonata is a multilayered and powerful relationship drama. It is also the meeting of a story by cinema legend Ingmar Bergman and the music of Sebastian Fagerlund, one of the most highly acclaimed Finnish composers of his generation, who will be present for this Market Screening.

14:30 - 15:30: “Rooted with Wings“ - PRESENTED BY LUMIKINOS PRODUCTION

Rooted with Wings explores the work of internationally acclaimed choreographer and dancer Tero Saarinen, granting the viewer a unique impression of this extraordinary artist’s creative process and his credo that contemporary dance can touch something ancient and timeless; something deep at the core of our shared humanity. We are happy that Tero Saarinen will also be present for this Screening.

15:45 - 16:45: “GHOSTS“ - Presented by Bel Air Media and the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet

How many lies can a person tolerate? This is the question asked by Henrik Ibsen’s drama "Ghosts", which has been transformed into a ballet by theatre director Marit Moum Aune together with choreographer Cina Espejord.

17:00 - 17:30: “Discofoot“ - PRESENTED BY SVT – SWEDISH TELEVISION

Discofoot is a modern dance piece by Petter Jacobsson and Thomas Caley, performed by dancers from the acclaimed Ballet de Lorraine. Taking the form of a football match, this modern dance piece toys with conventions existing in the very separate worlds of football and dance.

World-famous Elīna Garanča will personally join to present this documentary that provides intimate insights into the exciting life of the Opera Singer.

Taking the form of a football match, in the central square in Nancy France, this modern dance piece toys with conventions existing in the very separate worlds of football and inspired dance.

19:30 - 21:00: “SCREAM FOR ME SARAJEVO“ - PRESENTED BY EAGLE ROCK ENTERTAINMENT

The remarkable story of one of the most improbable rock shows ever: a concert by Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson in Sarajevo during the darkest days of the siege in 1994. Supported by indomitable local and UN staff, the group were smuggled into the city over a mountain path, avoiding snipers and shelling to put on the secret gig. Against the backdrop of the horrors of the siege, this is a film about people who risked their lives to perform to the people of Sarajevo.

20:30 -22:00: “ZUZANA RUZICKOVA: MUSIC IS LIFE“ - PRESENTED BY EUROARTS INTERNATIONAL

This is the dark and triumphant story of Zuzana Ruzickova told by herself about how she became a world-famous harpsichordist and interpreter of Bach under the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia. As she reveals her life of hope and fear, the little-known story of Czechoslovakia emerges, from the promise of 1930s democracy to the Nazi invasion, followed by the grinding brutality of forty years of Soviet occupation.
