Film Mode Entertainment’s has Berlin World Premiere of VIKING DESTINY Starring Terence Stamp and Martyn Ford

Epic Odyssey Adventure Makes Debut Screening In Berlin, Accompanied by A Slew of Sales

BERLIN (February 17, 2018) -- Film Mode Entertainment announces the EFM world market debut screening of the highly-anticipated VIKING DESTINY starring Oscar-nominated TERENCE STAMP (WANTED, THE LIMEY, MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN, STAR WARS), with MARTYN FORD (KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE) and IAN BEATTIE of Game of Thrones fame during the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival.

Screenings for VIKING DESTINY take place on February 17th at 12:45 PM in CinemaxX 19 and on February 19th at 11:40 AM in Parliament Studio.

The film has been sold in the United Kingdom to 101 Films, in Germany to Black Hill Pictures, in Italy to Minerva Pictures, in Australia and New Zealand to Transmission Films, and in the Middle East to Falcon Films.

"It’s been an honor to work with such amazingly talented filmmakers and performers.  This was an ambitious first film for Film Mode to executive produce, but with such supportive partners, we are thrilled with the result.  I just can’t wait to see buyers witness that first action scene.” Said Executive Producer and President of Film Mode Entertainment, Clay Epstein.

Written and directed by David L.G. Hughes, the film explores the legendary crusades of Scandinavian explorers.  Incredible action sequences containing exceptionally high production value are sure to blow audiences out of their seats.

In VIKING DESTINY, Odin, the Norse god of war and wisdom, is played by STAMP.  The adventure/fantasy centers on a young Norse girl, the rightful heir to the Viking kingdom, who is banished after she's framed for the murder of her father, the king.  The expert team behind these action sequences along with the performances by such a remarkable cast have collaborated to create some of the most innovative and jaw-dropping action sequences you have ever witnessed.

Says Hughes: “I’m thrilled to screen VIKING DESTINY in Berlin, and just as excited to introduce our lead actress Anna Demetriou to the world. It’s her first ever film role and wow, does she deliver - as an actress and as an action hero. And alongside Terrence Stamp, there is an undeniable magic. Audiences will love her and what we managed to accomplish in this film. The sensational battle sequences showcasing DEMETRIOU, and the amazing TERENCE STAMP matched with stunning locations and mind-blowing fight sequences have combined beautifully to create an epic and action packed fantasy adventure film.”

In addition to STAMP, who has starred in more than 60 films in his prolific career and been nominated for dozens of awards including the Academy Award and a BAFTA for Best Actor, the cast features IAN BEATTIE of Game of Thrones fame and MARTYN FORD (KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE).

"VIKING DESTINY is being produced by Andee Ryder and David LG Hughes. Executive producers include Kwesi Dickson, Clay Epstein, Tony Krantz, Phil Hunt and Compton Ross.

Production companies include Misfits Entertainment and Fatal Black Films.
Financing was provided by Head Gear Films. The film was shot in Northern Ireland in partnership with Screen Northern Ireland.

Stamp is represented by United Agents.

Hughes is represented by Paradigm, Zero Gravity Management and Dench Arnold.

Film Mode Entertainment is handling worldwide rights on VIKING DESTINY.

Screenings for VIKING DESTINY take place on February 17th at 12:45 PM in CinemaxX 19 and on February 19th at 11:40 AM in Parliament Studio.
