Highland Film Group announced today that the company has secured multiple international distribution deals for the new action-thriller One Way, directed by Andrew Baird (Zone 414) from a script by Ben Conway. The film stars Golden Globe winner Kevin Bacon (Black Mass, Mystic River, Showtime’s “City on a Hill”), Colson Baker (The Dirt, Project Power), also known as recording artist “Machine Gun Kelly,” Travis Fimmel (Ridley Scott’s ”Raised by Wolves,” “Vikings,” Warcraft), and Storm Reid (Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time, Blumhouse’s Don’t Let Go).

International distribution partners on the film include Splendid Film (Germany and German-speaking Switzerland), Cinemundo (Portugal), Rialto Distribution (Australia and New Zealand), Blue Swan Entertainment (Italy), MCF (Ex-Yugoslavia), Just Media (Benelux), Monolith Films (Poland), MGN (Russia and Baltics), Eagle Films (Middle East), Moviecloud (Taiwan) and FilmFinity (South Africa).

Principal photography recently wrapped in Thomasville, Georgia. Highland Film Group is handling worldwide sales, with Thomasville Pictures producing.

Also starring in the film are Drea de Matteo (“The Sopranos,” Dark Places), Meagan Holder (Jersey Boys, FOX’s “Pitch”), Thomas Francis Murphy (News of the World, Netflix’s “Mindhunter”), Luis Da Silva Jr. (21 Jump Street, Fast Five), Rhys Coiro (Hustlers, “Entourage”), Danny Bohnen (The Last Son), Scotty Bohnen (FOX’s Deputy), and Casie Baker.

In One Way, Freddy (Baker) goes on the run with a bag full of cash after a robbery of his former crime boss goes wrong. With a potentially fatal wound, he slips onto a bus with a one-way ticket. After a call for help, Freddy's estranged father (Bacon) betrays him, notifying the crime boss where he is. With his life slipping through his fingers, Freddy is left with very few choices to survive. There is only ONE WAY.

"We are thrilled with how buyers have embraced Andrew Baird’s second film. The stellar cast lead by Colson Baker, Kevin Bacon, and Travis Fimmel has proven to be a powerful ingredient in reaching international audiences. It is a universal story, and we cannot wait to see the final film and share it with our international partners and their audiences," said Highland Film Group’s President of International Todd Olsson. "We are excited to have locked distribution deals in multiple key territories at this year’s virtual European Film Market. The story has a real hook and we are very proud that with principal photography now wrapped, we will once again be able to deliver a completed film to our trusted partners," continued Highland Film Group’s EVP of Sales Laura Voros.

Ryan Donnell Smith, Tim Palmer, Martin Brennan, and Jib Polhemus are producing the film with Ryan Winterstern and Nathan Klingher from Short Porch Pictures, Bill Grantham, Stephen Fingleton, and Highland Film Group’s Fraser and Perrier serving as executive producers. The film was developed with funding from Northern Ireland Screen and Screen Ireland.
