An anguished college girl Christina, deals with the recent loss of her mother whilst being slowly possessed by her craving spirit, causing Christina to give into her most carnal desires.
The recent death of her mother has put Christina into a bad state, even the consolation of her best friend Allison doesn’t seem to help. To make matters worse, since her mother died Christina finds she is blacking out from time to time, later waking without any inkling of what has happened. Now this strange phenomenon is beginning to intensify. After meeting a young man in a coffee shop and later becoming intimate with him in the woods, he disappears. This occurrence is made all the more frightening when newspapers state that the young man’s body parts have been found along a hiking trail in the woods.
In an effort to help her troubled friend, Allison forces Christina to see a psychiatrist. Through a process of relaxation and the power of suggestion the psychiatrist is able to discover the details of her mother’s death. It would appear Christina’s mother was highly superstitious and rooted in the occult. Though Christina is clearly suffering, he finds nothing mentally wrong with her. On her way home Christina is approached by a professional and charming photographer, he invites her to a photo shoot and Christina agrees. Meanwhile, Allison suspects something deeper and more sinister about Christina. In her desperation she contacts a powerful monk renowned for his psychic and spiritual powers. Allison lures Christina into a casual meeting with the monk where his presence and awareness make her uncomfortable, and eventually hostile towards him. Our suspicions are confirmed as the monk tells Allison of a dark energy, possessing Christina’s soul. Together the monk and Allison plan an exorcism to save Christina. With strange things appearing in the pictures he took of Christina, the photographer confronts her with the photos. Ghostly images and strange auras surround Christina in every single picture. The photographer pushes Christina, trying to find out if the images are a joke or a scam. He becomes a bit too aggressive, and triggers a blackout for Christina. While Christina is in her own little world, her body is busy carving the photographer to pieces. Christina awakes to find herself covered in blood; following the trail of it she finds the partially eaten corpse of the photographer in her deep freezer. Disgusted and afraid she turns to Allison for help.
Christina agrees to undergo an exorcism and Allison returns with Christina to her house to search for a reason Christina is possessed. They find a hidden nook in Christina’s mother’s room with demonic tools and books of incantation. It is left open on a page that shows how to take over a human’s body, and the girls conclude that the soul of Christina’s mother wants to take Christina’s body. Luckily the monk has finished preparing his tools and his body for an exorcism. With haste the monk arrives at Christina’s house to cleanse both her body and her house of the evil. The monk begins his exorcism immediately. He calls out the evil and battles it for Christina’s life. In a heroic effort the monk sacrifices himself to save Christina. However though the girls think the evil is gone, Christina’s mother is too powerful and gains control of Christina again. Christina turns to Allison and both are relieved to be okay, that is until Christina smiles and takes a bite out of Allison.
