THE BOXER Performs to a Sold Out Audience at 2009 FringeNYC Festival

By Maria Esteves - September 22, 2009

The 13th Annual 2009 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) sold out, standing room theatrical presentation of THE BOXER, written and directed by Matt Lyle was held at The Connelly Theater, August 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.

A Bootstraps Comedy Theater production, THE BOXER is a superb heartfelt award winning one hour silent comedy play with live music set in the 1940s depression era. The play depicts young Velma (Kim Lyle) who posed as a man in order to find work humorously ends up becoming the boxer's (Jeff Swearingen) manager.
