3D Stereo MEDIA is now about 3 months away

	Exclusive training in 3D cinematic VR

It's no secret that virtual reality (VR) is exploding all around us... no pun intended!. Add omnidirectional/360°, cinema-like content, and you get "cinematic VR". Add the magic ingredient that makes VR truly sublime, i.e. 3D, and you get "3D cinematic VR", a term that was completed unheard of just one year ago!

Given its long tradition with 3D technology and content - in all of their forms -, 3D Stereo MEDIA (3DSM) has taken the lead in offering one of most solid training session in the creation of 3D, 360° content for this new, intriguing discipline of 3D cinematic VR. The small-group, 3+1 days, hands-on course with outstanding 3D, 360° equipment - entitled "Get going in 3D Cinematic VR" - will be taught by experts in 3D cinematography and VR, including some of the pioneers in 3D cinematic VR, both from Hollywood and Belgium.

If you wish to be part the small, select group of trainees, we suggest that you register without delay.

Are you looking for financing to turn into concrete reality your idea for an exceptional 3D content? If so, the 3D Film Booster (3DFB) may be ideal for you. Recognized professionals will coach each selected applicant within a small group, and lead him/her from an idea to a pitch in front of international investors and co-producers. 3DFB gives you the opportunity to quickly get up to speed in the production of stellar 3D content, both for conventional cinema and for cinematic VR. Submission deadline is 30 Sept.

IC3D is calling for papers

By popular demand, we have extended to Wed 28 Sept the deadline for submitting technical/scientific papers to the peer-reviewed International Conference of 3D Imaging (IC3D), which is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS), and which archives the accepted papers in the world-renown IEEE Xplore Digital Library. By submitting your best possible paper(s), you stand a chance to win the Best Paper Award, i.e. a Lumiere Award from the Advanced Imaging Society.

Climb aboard the new
3D Express

3DSM has launched a new initiative! It is called the 3D Express. It is a late afternoon event on 5 Oct in Liège with brief conferences, a panel, demonstrations, and networking, and it is primarily intended for the companies and institutions of Wallonia (French-speaking part of Belgium) to raise the level of awareness of the multidisciplinary nature of 3D. Because of its local character, the working language will be French. Attendance is free of charge but registration is mandatory.

Now in its 8th edition, 3DSM works hard to bring you each year the latest trends in 3D technology and contents, such as, a few years ago, 3D printing and 3D food printing. Last year, we brought you the latest in 3D VR, including a unique and very successful hands-on training session on the production of 3D VR contents. This year, we have several 3D goodies in store for you, which we'll progressively unveil, many related to 3D cinematic VR.
