SPIDES from Palatin Media has been sold to more than 130 countries

PALATIN MEDIA HAD A SUCCESSFUL MIPCOM ONLINE+

Munich based Palatin Media looks back at a very successful MipCom online+. SPIDES, a series (season 1, 8x1h) produced for the NBCUniversal International Networks has been sold to more than 130 countries, powered by stellar success at US American platform Crackle+. Crackle’s stock listed parent company Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq: CSSE) announced, that SPIDES was the highest-grossing fiction series on Crackle ever.

Richard De Croce, senior vice president said: „We’re thrilled by our audience’s reaction to our Crackle Original series, Spides. This series has everything our fans have come to expect from our sci-fi titles… great storytelling, fantastic performances, and an inspiring journey that follows the show’s lead Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, overcoming enormous challenges in heroic fashion”.

A big success was the exploitation of the digital/SVoD rights of

THE OUTPOST. The US American (Network CW) Superhit has been placed in more than 80 countries.

Further Palatin Media is happy to announce numerous sales of the first run documentary series EVOLUTION OF DRIVING, e.g. in France (Mediawan) or Eastern Europe (Ictimai).

A further highlight in the documentary segment was the feature length documentary SKIN: A HISTORY OF NUDITY IN THE MOVIES. Backed by great reviews and success due to the release in the US it was sold around the globe from Australia over German speaking territories to Israel. Many-times accompanied by the 3part feature length series

TIME WARP: THE GREATEST CULT FILMS OF ALL-TIME, which has also been successfully placed around the globe.

Set in modern-day Berlin, SPIDES follows Nora - played by Rosabell Laurenti Sellers - a young woman who wakes from a coma without any memory of her previous life after taking a mysterious drug; local police detective David Leonhart (Falk Hentschel) and his partner Nique Navar (Florence Kasumba) are hunting down that drug in relation to dozens of missing teens. When Nora sets out to discover what happened to her, she begins to unravel a conspiracy of aliens who are using a synthetic drug to infiltrate humans to use as host bodies. The more truth Nora uncovers, the more of her own dark secret is revealed: she is the key to the invasion she is fighting.
SPIDES also stars Nosbusch, Damian Hardung, Francis Fulton-Smith, Susanne Wuest, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Harvey Friedman plus many more.

THE OUTPOST (Season 1+2, 23x60‘ complete, Season 3, 13x60‘ in postproduction, Season 4 in Production) is a fantasy/adventure series that tells the story of a strong female heroine named Talon (Jessica Green), the lone survivor of a race called Blackbloods, as she tracks the killers of her family to a lawless fortress on the edge of the civilized world. Along the way she discovers that she possesses a mysterious supernatural power that she must learn to control in order to save herself and defend the world against a fanatical religious dictatorship.

THE OUTPOST also stars Jake Stormoen, Andrew Howard, Anand Desai-Barochia, Robyn Malcolm und Kristian Nairn.

EVOLUTION OF DRIVING (10x1h) shows the history, the present and the future of the automobiles of the world’s most important manufacturers. International automobile experts and racing legends like Jochen Mass, Martin Utberg, Walter Röhrl, Doreen Seidl present the essential, famous and groundbreaking car models and explain the myth of the greatest dream cars of all time. Italian power cars, German masterpieces and British beauties by Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Porsche, Jaguar, Rolls Royce and Lamborghini, all are shown in this sophisticated car magazine.

SKIN: A HISTORY OF NUDITY IN THE MOVIES delves into the gender bias concerning nudity in motion pictures and will follow the revolution that has pushed for gender equality in feature films today. A deep discussion of pre-code Hollywood and its amoral roots, the censorship that “cleaned up” Hollywood and how the MPAA was formed leads into a discussion of how nudity changed cinematic culture through the decades. It culminates in a discussion of “what are nude scenes like in the age of the #METOO movement?”

Featuring a.o. Eric Roberts, Malcolm McDowell, Pam Grier, Kristanna Lokken, Mariel Hemingway

With fantastic film clips and exclusive behind-the-scenes stories, the three-part feature length documentaries TIME WARP: THE GREATEST CULT FILMS OF ALL-TIME (Midnight Madness, Horror&Scifi and Comedy&Camp) showcase the unusual elements that make these cult films endure, celebrates the world’s love of movies and pop culture and discusses what have provoked, fascinated or appalled moviegoers, drawing them to watch the numerous presented motion pictures over and over and over again.

Hosted by Joe Dante, Kevin Pollak, John Waters and Ileana Douglas

Featuring Jeff Bridges, Fran Drescher, John Turturro, Jeff Bridges, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Moseley, Pam Grier, Robert Davi and John Cleese.
