The half hour documentary Straws plyaed last month (In October) in eight festivals in four countries and won an award at Santa Cruz. In the USA alone, over 520 million of non-recyclable plastic straws are used every day and tossed. They wind up in landfills, streets, waterways and litter beaches, contributing to the enormity of plastic pollution harming the environment and marine animals. STRAWS is an entertaining and informative 30 minute film with narration by Tim Robbins that illustrates how individuals and communities are working together to make a sea of change, one plastic straw at time.
