Levi Miller Stars in Arclight's STREAMLINE with Jason Isaacs in Discussions

Actor Levi Miller (Pan, A Wrinkle In Time) will star in the gripping Australian swim drama Streamline, it was announced today by Arclight Films chairman and CEO, Gary Hamilton. The screenplay was written by Tyson Wade Johnston who will make his feature film directorial debut.

Streamline centers on a 15-year-old swimming prodigy known simply as “Boy” who self-destructs after his long absent father is released from jail.

Production is in discussions with Jason Isaacs (Hotel Mumbai, Netflix’s “The OA”) to join the film in the role of Boy’s father.  Five-time Australian Olympic gold medallist Ian Thorpe is also rumored to come on board as a swim consultant and mentor for the production.

The film will be produced by Blake Northfield and Nathan Walker of Australian-based production company, Bronte Pictures. Production is slated to begin in Queensland, Australia late 2019.

Hamilton’s leading entertainment company Arclight Films will represent worldwide rights to the feature.

Further to the storyline, Johnston adds, “On the surface, it’s about the cutthroat world of competitive swimming. Beneath that, it’s about a young man grappling with the forgiveness of his father while the people around him – his family, friends, coach – fight to save him from throwing his life away.”

Bronte Pictures’ Northfield says “we are really looking forward to working with Arclight Films on Streamline. They have such a strong track record of taking Australian stories to the world and we’re thrilled that they are handling sales on what we believe is the next big Australian drama.”

“At Arclight Films, we pride ourselves on championing dynamic stories and bringing high-quality Australian filmmaking to the global audience. Streamline is one of those compelling stories we instantly knew we had to be involved in,” commented Hamilton. “We are delighted to represent this film and look forward to seeing it in cinemas around the world soon.”

Levi Miller starred opposite Hugh Jackman in Warner Bros.’ epic film Pan, directed by Joe Wright. Pan is the reimagining of the famed children’s fairy tale, Peter Pan. Miller has also starred in Red Dog: True Blue alongside Jason Isaacs, released by Lionsgate, as well as Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time, directed by Ava DuVernay.

Tyson Wade Johnston is an Australian-born director and screenwriter who moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 and immediately began his career directing commercials, music videos, and short films. During this time, he set up film and television projects with companies such as Blumhouse, Paramount Pictures, XYZ Films, and Matador Content. His proof of concept short film “Lunar” placed on the 2013 Viewfinder List.

Tyson Wade Johnston is managed by Derrick Eppich.
