![]() JOEY SCARPELLINO and JORDANA LAJOIE Join the Cast of Millennial “No Labels” Movie MORNING AFTERWork-in-Progress will be pitched at AFM to secure distribution and sales for the feature. Flirt Films, in collaboration with Byron A. Martin Productions, are proud to announce the wrap of Morning After, a bold and playful drama about sexual fluidity. The film is helmed by award-winning director Patricia Chica from an original screenplay by Kristian Hodko. Byron A. Martin and Marc Carle act as Executive Producers. Filming happened in Montreal’s Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood this past summer. TEASER: "MORNING AFTER" AFM Teaser from Patricia Chica on Vimeo. Outstanding Canadian actors Joey Scarpellino (Les Parents) and Jordana Lajoie (Patrice Lemieux 24-7) both join the team as the emancipated Alex and the provocative Dana respectively. The other talented actors are LAMDA-trained Thomas Vallières (the sexually conflicted Michael), Orphan Black’s regular Zoé de Grand Maison (the vivacious Teegan), and Kristian Hodko (Edward, the catalyst). This playful coming of age drama is a short film that will serve as a “proof of concept” for the feature film project, presently in development. Morning After tells the story of Michael, whose life-changing journey is provoked one night while playing a new version of spin-the-bottle that involves chocolate tasting and French kissing. “Morning After is perfectly timed to speak to the Millennial generation and sexual fluidity in our culture. It presents an incredible opportunity to bring understanding to and raise awareness around sexual identity issues in society,” says filmmaker Patricia Chica. Martin (Ontario); Co-Executive Producers: Jessica Moreno and Lisa Powers (Los Angeles) and Tariq Rahman (Montreal); Line Producer: Kathy Wolf; Associate Producers: Bonni Ellis, Keith Lane, Ben Ragunton, Richard Duquette, and Andrew Wong; Cinematographer: Martin Bouchard; Art Director: Alexandre Piedon; Sound: Bruno Carrière; Special Effects: Cineffects; Costumes: Josée Métivier; Makeup Artists: Steph Miramontes and Larysa Chernienko.
