Elizabeth Hurley is set to star in the new romantic comedy feature film Christmas in the Caribbean

MSR Media Producer Philippe Martinez announced today that Elizabeth Hurley is set to star in the new romantic comedy feature film _Christmas in the Caribbean_ that will start shooting this week in the islands of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.  The star-packed ensemble also features Caroline Quentin, Nathalie Cox, Edoardo Costa, Hadar Cats, Downtown Julie Brown, and Rafael Martinez.   Written by Philippe Martinez and Nathalie Cox, Martinez (Father Christmas is Back) will also direct.

Christmas in the Caribbean tells the tale of Rachel (Hurley), the hopeless romantic whose wedding dreams poof into the crisp, late-December air when she catches her groom high-tailing it out of the church minutes before they say "I do." Not to let her perfectly good Christmas in the Caribbean honeymoon go to waste, Rachel and her two bridesmaids jet off to the islands, ready to relax and recuperate in the sun and sea.  Unexpectedly, love blossoms on the island but Christmas is coming and Rachel has to decide if she follows her heart and joins a family she has always wanted or heads home to England.

The film is produced by MSR Media's Martinez and Highfield Grange Studios' Alan Latham. Karinne Behr and Lee Beasley from MSR Media, and Alastair Burlingham of Sherborne Media serve as Executive Producers.

Production financing is being provided by Sherborne Media. MSR Media International is handling worldwide rights for the film.

Martinez highlighted, "I am thrilled to be shooting my 4th film in the beautiful islands of St Kitts and Nevis with my very good friend and exceptional artist Elizabeth Hurley.  Again we are championing the resilient spirit and strength of strong female characters in our new film.  Now is the time for women and their powerful relationships to be at the forefront of filmmaking and doing that while having fun is a great moment for us all."

Hurley commented, "'An offer to shoot a movie in the Caribbean, after more than 18 months of lockdowns, was irresistible. 'Christmas in the Caribbean' is a fun, lively antidote to all that misery.'

Christmas in Paradise is the latest film to shoot under the multi-film program struck earlier this year between MSR Media and the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis under the leadership of Hon. Prime Minister Timothy Harris, the Hon. Akilah Byron Nisbett, Minister of Health, ICT, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship and Talent Development, and the Hon.

Mark Brantley, Premier of Nevis.

Elizabeth Hurley's credits include E! Entertainment Television's hit series "The Royals," the CW's "Gossip Girl," Philippe Martinez's thriller _Viktor_ opposite Gerard Depardieu, _Bedazzled_ opposite Brendan Fraser and the blockbuster hits _Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery_ and its sequel _Austin Powers:  The Spy Who Shagged Me_.

The ensemble cast also features well known character actress Caroline Quentin who recently appeared in MSR Media's_ "Father Christmas is Back"

_and stars in_ "British Men Behaving Badly" and the popular TV series "Jonathan Creek"_, Nathalie Cox whose credits include _Clash of the Titans, Kingdom of Heaven _and who recently completed principal photography on MSR Media's _Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop_, the Italian actor Edoardo Costa who co-starred with Bruce Willis in _Live Free or Die Hard_ and alongside Liam Neeson in _Non-Stop_, Hadar Cats who was nominated for a Young Artist Award for her performance in MSR Media's _My Dad's Christmas Date_, the legendary MTV vee-jay Downtown Julie Brown best known for her star turn in _Spy Hard_ alongside Leslie Nielsen and B*A*P*S with Halle Berry, and Rafael Martinez whose credits include MSR Media's "_My Dad's Christmas Date"_ and "_Father Christmas is Back_"

_Christmas in the Caribbean _is the fourth film to be shot in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis. MSR Media recently completed production on the romantic comedy _A Week in Paradise_ starring Malin Åkerman, Connie Nielsen, Philip Winchester and Jack Donnelly, the suspense thriller _Assailant, _directed by Tom Paton_ _and_ _starring Poppy Delevingne, Chad Michael Collins, Casper Van Dien and Jeff Fahey and wrapped principal photography for their new comedy feature film _One Year Off _earlier this year. Under the production deal, the government of St Kitts and Nevis is offering access to multiple locations across the island and hotel support for visiting cast members. In 2020, MSR Media successfully completed production of two movies shot during COVID restrictions in the UK - the family comedy _Father Christmas is Back,_ starring Elizabeth Hurley, Kelsey Grammer, and John Cleese, and the family adventure _Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop_, starring Nathalie Cox and Kelsey Grammer.
