Committed to boosting this highly promising sector, the government of the Republic of Cyprus introduced a package of incentives encouraging international producers to choose Cyprus as their next film destination. In specific, production companies that opt to film in Cyprus will be able to choose between cash rebate or tax credit and can also benefit from tax discounts on investments made on equipment and infrastructure, and VAT returns on expenditure in scope. Qualifying production categories include, among others, feature Films (including animation), television Series or mini-series, documentaries for Theatrical or Television release, animation (digital or analogue), television research programs and natural history. The international films productions "Jiu Jitsu" with Nicolas Cage and "Survive of Sacrifice" wiyh William Baldwin are the first financed works by the new investment program in Cyprus Investment Program https://film.investcyprus.org.cy/incentives/apply/ Speakers

The film explores in depth the recent history of Cyprus, including the Turkish invasion (1974), through the experiences of women involved in politics who live in Nicosia,Cyprus, the only divided capital city in the world. Eight Cypriot women from different parties and political positions discuss the common goal of their actions - Peace! The film includes exclusive interviews with the First Lady and the President of the Cyprus Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis. The late Greek Minister of Culture Melina Merkouri visits the island in 1975 and participates in the first remarkable women march for Peace.
