Action thriller Lucky Day directed by Academy Award winner Roger Avary enters the market from Film NationIntroducing a brand NEW production still from the highly anticipated action thriller Lucky Day directed by Academy Award winner Roger Avary (The Rules of Attraction, Pulp Fiction), starring Crispin Glover (American Gods), Nina Dobrev (Flatliners), Luke Bracey (Point Break), Clifton Collins (HBO’s “Westworld”), Clé Bennett (Jigsaw), Nadia Fares (Marseille), David Hewlett (upcoming The Shape of Water), Tomer Sisley (Largo Winch) and Josie Ho (Dream Home).
Lucky Day follows an ex-con on parole who sets off to reunite with his wife and daughter and gets hunted down by a psychopathic hitman looking to avenge his dead brother.
Penned by Avary, the story weaves together many of the characters he has cultivated in his films into a single neo-noir, aggressive, violent, funny, irreverent, politically incorrect movie in the spirit of True Romance and Pulp Fiction, which he co-wrote and won an Oscar.
The film is produced by Samuel Hadida with whom Avary collaborated on Killing Zoe, Rules of Attractions and Silent Hill, and Don Carmody (Resident Evil, Silent Hill)
The movie is currently shooting in Toronto.
FilmNation is shopping Lucky Day at AFM where it is also unveiling the film’s promo to buyers.
