Viewed at INOC Nariman Point cinemas, Bombay, Monday afternoon 15 January 2018..

Awesome and awe inspiring. Amazing  that Spielberg has been able to take an old newspaper story, now nearly fifty years old --and largely forgotten, and pumped it up into a thriller that feels like it happened last week. My major complaint is the title  POST. .It should have been called The Pentagon Papers!  -- not an innocuous one worder like Post. At least  callit "From Pillar to Post" --(Title of course refers to the Wahington Post newspaper but is in my opinion extremely ill.chosen as a title ...)...
Tom Hanks was almost unrecognizable in a new avatar as a crusading reporter light years beyond Forest Gump. Streep was a little less hard edge  than usual, maybe a bit too softie for the balsy lady she plays. 
The guy who played Ellsberg was authentic. Ditto for MacNamara. 
Pic had a 20 minute intermission here like all Indian mivies.
The stream of "bad guys" trying to convince Streep, owner of the Washington Post not to publish were all more or less interchangeable cardboard cutouts stuffed into black suits.
The Spielberg film this has most in common with was Lincoln. Thank God it didnt have Day Lewis in it to ruin it with his despicable hammery.  The running  of the newspaper presses, usually a cliché in old movies was handled here by Spielberg with exceptional verve like an athletc event. Thrilling. 
There was so much in the movie I will have to see it again to write a real review.
