Get ready!

The festival runs August 16 – 26, 2018

August 2, 2018 Extended Deadline

Hey guys,

Gearing up for the 2018 season. Are you ready?

Accepting submissions on our website now! www.aoffest.com. Festival runs from Aug 16 -26, 2018 in Las Vegas. We got it all - screenings, writers competition, mixers, seminars, celebrities, parties, awards show, and brand new this year - film market! Come be a part of the AOF Family.

The Fourteenth Annual Action On Film International Film Festival and Writer's Event is truly the festival of the independent filmmaker and writer. We bridge the gap between the industry and the indie filmmaker with guests like Debra Kara Unger, Nick Mancuso, Harry Lennix, Eric Bana, Mark Ruffalo, John Savage and many others in attendance every season. We also feature top distributors and buyers from companies like Bruber Media, Multivisionnaire Distribution, Showcase Entertainment, Gorilla Pictures, Movie Heroes, Storyoptic Films, The China Film Group and more.
With a fourteen year history of recognizing filmmakers at every level in some of the most gorgeous cinemas in the world, we create screenings and opportunities that no other festival offers.
Action On Film means; 'The Action a director takes to make his or her vision come true and then the re-action to that effort by the audiences who watch it. Sure, we love action films but we get just as inspired by Comedy, Drama, Animation, Documentary and Experimental Projects.
Filmmakers like Daniel Kozakiewicz, Karlos Alastruey, Tracey Birdsall , Stan Harrington, and many others credit us with getting their starts. We have featured the work of hundreds of filmmakers and producers via our television programs; The AOF Channel from NBC and the currently running Del Weston's Action On Film which airs on Time Warner Cable, Champion Broadband, Peg Media and of course online.
Our 10 day event caps off with a sold out Writers' Award Show and Dinner and 2 star studded Black Tie Dinners and Award Shows which have been selling out for thirteen years straight. Got a great project? Come be a part of the show!

Awards & Prizes

With great sponsors like Soyjoy, Monster Energy, Write Brothers, Sony, Avid, The Stella Adler Academy, the Brendan Theaters, Quickfilm Budget, Pond 5 and many others, the AOF gave out over $250,000 in cash and prizes in 2017 alone.
In addition, sponsors like Hollywood Rentals and others give out full equipment package rentals for up to two weeks to make a filmmaker's film production dreams come true.
We also feature many of our filmmakers on the Del Weston's Action On Film weekly television program which airs in the Los Angeles Market and across the country. This exposure alone is worth thousands of dollars in promotion and advertising for your projects.
