Count down to the 2nd. Malatya International Film Festival

 

2nd. Malatya International Film Festival will be held from 18th to 24th November 2011.  With the support of the Malatya Apricot Research, Development and Promotion Foundation and Malatya Governorship, festival is led by Malatya Governor Ulvi Saran and organized by Global Mass Communication Studies Foundation.  The Festival’s, ‘National Feature’, ‘International Feature’ and ‘Short Film’ Competition juries, general programme and its theme are announced with a press conference in Istanbul on the 26th of October.  In his opening speech, the Governor of Malatya M.Ulvi Saran said; "We are very proud to host a festival for cinema which is referred to be the ‘7th Art’ in the art world. The interest to the festival was immense last year. This year, we are adding the ‘National Full-length Feature Film’ category to the competition. The winner of the ’Best Director Award’ will receive approximately $5,500 and the winners of the other categories will be awarded with approximately $3,300 each.The other award categories will be rewarded with;Best International/Foreign Film €15,000 and ‘Crystal Apricot Award’Best International/Foreign Director €5,000 and ‘Crystal Apricot Award’Best Screenplay €3,000 and ‘Crystal Apricot Award’Best Actress €3,000 and ‘Crystal Apricot Award’Best Actor €3,000 and ‘Crystal Apricot Award’Best Music €3,000 and ‘Crystal Apricot Award’A week of Art
2nd Malatya International Film Festival will also be screening special selection of movies during the festival. The festival goers will have a chance to enjoy to see more National and International films under the sections including; ‘Hometown on the Other Side’, ‘Panorama’, ‘Wim Wenders’.
