The festival presented six films from Northern Europe: Thomas and Rollie, Wonderful Stories (Finland), Wild Horse (Norway), Apes and the Secret Weapon (Denmark), The Disciple of the Master Thief (Sweden), On the Earth, Likewise in the Skies (Iceland).
Entries in the sidebar programmes included Kusturica's Underground, and European co-productions Total Eclipse and Death and the Maiden, showcased by Moscow-based distributor Paradise. There were also several culture-oriented domestic features, documentaries, and an animation from Tatarstan (Central Russia).
