Venice attendees returning to the US on United Airlines may have the chance to enjoy some classic movies from the Turner library, thanks to an agreement signed recently between Turner Classic Movies and the airline.
The agreement with United represents an expansion of Turner Classic Movies' (TCM) venture with USAir launched in 1995 which created the first full length, in-flight classic movie channel. TCM's in-flight programming on United, which begins this month, will present such classics as Singin' in the Rain, Citizen Kane and Casablanca. The in-flight presentation will feature special introductions and commentary from TCM on-air host Robert Osborne.
'This partnership with United is another example of the creative ways we are finding to bring TCM's vast library to the widest possible audience,' said Tom Karsch, TCM's senior vice president and general manager. Christopher Pickard
