French critic Michel Ciment is president of this year's Firpresci Jury with two sets of critics under him. Pondering the merits of films in competition are Lynden David Barber (Australia), Ronny Pede (Belgium), Aruna Vasudev (India) and Fabia Bo (Italy). And assessing entrants in The Window on Images section is a panel of younger critics - Marina Drozdova (Russia), Luciana Barisone (Italy) Simone Mahrenholz (Germany) and Chris Darke (UK). "There were too many films for one jury," explained a Firpresci spokesman when asked about the split. The jury's decisions will be announced on 7 September.
