Some names that come to mind are Sacred Games, The Family Man, Delhi Crime, CID, Crime Patrol, Crime Watch and Special Ops. Whereas the iconic Sacred Games gives no hint about its content, The Family Man is misleadingly titled, being about a family man who is into tackling te...

The LA Horror Fest was founded to celebrate our passion for horror films and recognize the winning combination of talent
required to make terrific horror movies that straight up scare the bejeezuzs out of us!
The LA Horror Fest is unique insofar as delivering the perfect fusion of film festival and convention. While the focus of the The
LA Horror Fest will center around exhibiting creative genius on the silver screen, we also aim to create a hip and entertaining
environment for enjoying the Barnsdall Art Park and time between screenings. There will be vendor tables, celebrity guests
making out autographs, swag and giveaways, music/ bands/ DJ’s, media buzz, alcohol and food. Our Friday night spectacular
will be a midnight screening of a cult classic favorite (TBD) with special guest appearances by the filmmaker and cast. Saturday
night will boast the awards ceremony followed by a VIP party. One great weekend, jam packed with film and lots more!
The Charlotte Horror Fest is horror and sci-Fi film festival taking place every October in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is
produced by Indie Film Force, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2005, which also produces the already established Charlotte Film Festival
The mission of the Charlotte Horror Fest is to bring filmmakers and film fans together for a celebration of the Horror and Sci-Fi genres. To create an event where the films can receive a quality projection that is on par with the dedication and perseverance that went into making them and fans can experience the works the way the filmmakers envisioned it. Along the way, we encourage fans to jump in and participate in whatever creative way feels right, so that the recipe will be complete and we’ll be able to fulfill what is the ultimate goal of the festival: to create and celebrate community.
Now, we are filmmakers too. So we understand that excellence is usually more easily noticed if it’s formally awarded. With that in mind, the 2012 Charlotte Horror Fest will present the following 17 awards:

Director: Tommi Lepola & Tero Molin.
A remote mental institution next to the Russian border was shut down by the police in the early 70´s. Dr. Andersson made series of snuff films using his patients. The Doctor filmed all the murders in 8mm and started to call himself the Auteur.
30 years later a small American film crew has arrived to Finland to shoot a horror movie about the massacre. The movie’s director, Steven, is engaged in his first feature with his DoP Darius and gaffer Mike from LA. The leading actress is a Finnish rising star Lisa, who’s dreaming about Hollywood. Dr. Andersson is played by a famous B-movie actor with a big ego.
Everything is going according to plan until two Finnish sound guys discover something evil hidden in the basement: the original snuff films shot by the Auteur.
Steven is stimulated by the raw and brutal snuff film material and starts to rewrite the script. The scenes are not real enough. Everything changes when he finds The Auteur’s 8mm film camera. Now he is ready to shoot his masterpiece, the film for which he will be remembered.
Soon the crew realizes that they are the stars of the film. Instead of making a horror film, they are in one. The Auteur is slaying the Skeleton Crew one by one. There´s no sequel for you!
To show and to promote the most interesting, avant-garde and hazardous movies from the international and independent cinema, transforming madrilean nights into a cross cultural place.
To attract and create new amateurs of this kind of production with an alternative offer, by generating new place for showing. These are the main objectives of this festival.
First to organize a film festival in a music club and to promote it with a new project - the touring festival - La Boca del Lobo suggests a different model of competition, by organizing itself in small places to make connections between audience and producers easier.
The aim, since its first edition in 1997, is to explore new ways in the seventh art from a different perspective, valiant; blended with the other art: music.
Workshops, forum, exhibitions and concerts are part of the festival program.
A festival escaping from the main stream ghetto.
A festival made in a cave.
A bet against who thinks: ”madrilean movida is dead!”
A project coming from the dark night, shining by itself, that pays a tribute to creators of our age.
Busting at the seams with outrageous action sequences, deliciously over-the-top characters and gross special effects, Robert Rodriguez's (Sin City, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) GRINDHOUSE PRESENTS PLANET TERROR explodes onto DVD as a two-disc extended and unrated edition on October 16 from Genius Products LLC. and The Weinstein Company. Rose McGowan ("Charmed," Scream, The Black Dahlia) and Freddy Rodriguez (Bobby, "Six Feet Under") give stunning performances as go-go girl-tur...
