week, we present Stephen Daldry, whose film Billy Elliot is the
Forum's UK entry. First screened at Cannes, Billy Elliot has danced
around the festival circuit, accumulating prizes at seemingly every stop.
The story of a young boy who is passionate about ballet has won the hearts
of movie-goers in the UK as well -- the low-budget indie has been among
the top five films in the UK since its release in early October. Although
this marks Daldry's feature debut, he is a veteran theater director. Here
