Films at the Forum

One of the highlights of this year's festival is the European Selection, presenting fifteen films, one from each of the European Union countries. This new section was initiated by the Union's French President in order to showcase films from young EU directors. A jury will select one director to receive the Prize of the French President of the European Union 2000, which brings a gernerous sum toward the film's European distribution. Strasbourg will open with the Opening Film
