The SCAD Savannah Film Festival celebrated days seven and eight of the 20th anniversary event, capping off a successful week!
On Friday, Nov. 3, Robert Pattinson received the Maverick Award after participating in a conversation following the screening of “Good Time” earlier in the day. Others in attendance: Willow Shields ("Into the Rainbow"), William H. Macy and producer Rachel Winter ("Krystal"), sound designers Craig Henighan ("Mother!," "Logan," "Hidden Figures") and Will Files ("War for the Planet of the Apes," "Deadpool," "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"), among others.
On Closing Night, Saturday, Nov. 4, Richard Gere received the Lifetime Achievement Award after participating in a conversation following “Norman” earlier in the day. Willow Shields received the Rising Star Award Saturday afternoon and participated in a Q+A following a screening of “Into The Rainbow”. Others in attendance: visual effects supervisor Joe Letteri (“War for the Planet of the Apes”), among others.
