SCAD Savannah Film Festival celebrated 20 years of creativity in film during an exciting, star-studded opening night. Guests in attendance at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival Opening Night included actress Holly Hunter (“The Big Sick”) who received the Icon Award; director Aaron Sorkin who received the Outstanding Achievement In Directing Award and participated in a Q+A following the Opening Night screening of “Molly’s Game”; and actress Zoey Deutch (“The Year of Spectacular Men”) who received the Rising Star Award and participated in a Q+A following a screening of “Flower”. Other talented filmmakers in attendance on the red carpet included: Lea Thompson, Max Winkler, Madelyn Deutch, among others.
The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) celebrates 20 years of cinematic creativity at the 2017 SCAD Savannah Film Festival. The festival, held in downtown Savannah, Georgia, runs from Saturday, Oct. 28, to Saturday, Nov. 4.
