"Scrappy" will be presented in French as a nominee for the Concurso FIC ESMI, sponsored by the Alianza Francesa de Bellas Artes, at the Festival Internacional del Cortometraje FIC in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 27, 2017.
Based on the Studs Terkel Award-winning poem by Donald G. Westlake, "Scrappy" was adapted for the screen and helmed by Dawn Westlake. Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona shot and edited and did visual effects. 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee GC Johnson provided an original score.
The film's poem was translated from English into French by Clotilde Couturier.
"Scrappy" marks the professional acting debut of 5-yr-old Nefertina Lizarraga and features her dog Kong as SCRAPPY.
